To be or not to be? That is the question?

    So in my early morning uggh, I don't want to get out of bed times. :) I came across a sign that said to "You can't expect to be a victor if your are living a victim mentality."  So to be or not to be, is the question?
    It is a little more deep then I wanted to deal with in the early a.m. LOL! but it got me thinking..
   I have decided that this could be a feather ruffling topic! But as always we are all welcome to have opinions, its what makes the world go round. :)  and I am happily and quickly to agree to disagree and keep moving forward.. Lifes to short to have our knickers in a twist all the time LOL! :)
  How many of us have endured terrible hardships and unjust situations in our lives? Probably a good 99% of the population has had something traumatic happen to them that makes them a victim in some form or another.. Being a victim and then Being the Victim are 2 different things..
A Victim is,
          1. One who is harmed or killed by another:
2. One who is harmed by or made to suffer from an act, circumstance, agency, or condition:
3. A person who suffers injury, loss, or death as a result of a voluntary undertaking:
4. A person who is tricked, swindled, or taken advantage of.

Being a Victim is no laughing matter!
On the flip side of it all some of us have adapted the  Being the Vicitim..... The Victim mentality..

 Victim mentality is an acquired (learned) personality trait in which a person tends to regard him or herself as a victim of the negative actions of others.
Taking on the victim mentality can be a life choice, that can rob you of so much of your valuable time you have to give this world!
So many of us take our hurts we have endured and live in them... I believe there is a time and season for everything just as the bible states in Ecclediastes 3..

To Everything There is a Season
1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

  We need to take the time to acknowledge our wounds then allow the wounds to heal.  But not live in them.
  If we choose to live in them, we have bought ourself a oneway ticket to self destruction....

  When we live in our wounds! We seek to gather attention in wanting others to feel sorry for us which can makes  us,
  • self-absorbed: unable or reluctant to consider a situation from the point of view of other people or to "walk a mile in their shoes".
  • defensive: In conversation, reading a non-existent negative intention into a neutral question and reacting with a corresponding accusation, hindering the collective solution of problems and instead creating unnecessary conflict.
  • stubborn: tending to reject suggestions or constructive criticism from others who listen and care; unable or reluctant to implement the suggestions of others for one's own benefit.

  •   Phew thats a lot to take in!
  •  We dont want to be one of lifes leeches who leech off of peoples empathy and drain them of everything, in essence they become our victims.....
  •   There is so much that can be said on this subject! and it can be a subject that can dig a hole to china till you find the root of it all!  It all boils down to a choice to live the life of a victim or a victor,,,
  •   But the good thing is!! Is if you find yourself falling into this situation, the choice is yours to make the change! That is the beauty of it all!
  •   We only have one life to live ONE!  and what a waste it would be to live a life of misery focused on self... Today is a new day a new beginning a great day to grab your boot straps pull them up throw on your big girl/boy undies.. and determine you are gonna make a change and start living!!
  •   Dont let the wounds someone has caused you to burden you and drag you down.. They are running free and happy without a care in the world on how they have hurt you!
  •   Dont choose to carry the chains they have given you!  make the choice to let them go!
  •   It is your freedom! to just let them go! forgive and move on!  it is the beautiful freedom they cannot take from you no matter how much they try or have hurt you!  The freedom of choice can never be taken from you!  As you always have the choice to walk away with no chains attached! Is is easy? No not at all! is is necessary? Yes!! So it can be said yes I was a victim but I am no longer the victim!!!

In the beginning there were apples! and all the good names where taken!

    Omgoodness! Finding a name for a blog that is not already taken.......... They are all taken!! LOL!

   So in the randomness of hours of figuring out what to call this thing, my last idea was, Simply Apples. It's odd but kinda cute!
   I am most positively sure if I research it a bit there will be another blog named the same LOL! :)
   Why Simply Apples?  Well lets see, I wanted something to fit the randomness of my blog.  I am your everyday ordinary person. :) Full of miscellaneous  thoughts and ideas. :) Wanting to share tidbits of this and that, with no set subject from day to day...  So thinking it over, Apples can be randomly done up.  They can be sliced, baked, stewed, pied, buttered, jammed, juiced, sauced, wined and vinegared....... and I am sure many more things can be done to them :)  And besides there's that old saying an apple a day keeps the doctor away! LOL! I am always good at adding a lil extra nutrition to peoples lives LOL!
     So begins my journey with this blog.. It is my hope to inspire, to share ideas, recipes, to share my random silliness, and even my heart!
     So hello world!  My name is Mindee Green I am a wife of going on 17 yrs! A mother of 2 beautiful boys 10 and 13, ..... (Am I really that old!!!! 0_o ) I am a photographer, and a artist, I also am a homeschoolin momma. (Yes I have grey hairs to prove it!! LOL! )

    He is faithful to iron out the wrinkles! :)  I am learning how to spell better everyday I school my kids.. So be warned my grammar, punctuation, and spelling is awful.  I know the world is full of grammar police and I have been ticketed repeatedly LOL! but its ok.... I try, and that is all that counts! LOL!
